2024 Impact Report: Organizing is the answer — always

In the wake of increased racist voter intimidation and election suppression in North Carolina, Advance Carolina approached 2024 ready to address the urgent need for focused, localized development efforts targeting Black and brown communities.

This report highlights how the power of local organizing  in the form of mobilizing resulted in critical down-ballot wins. With the support of our partners and those investing in what we do on the ground, Advance Carolina helped place progressive-minded people in the governor’s mansion and in the offices of secretary of state, attorney general and superintendent of public instruction. The collective effort also broke the veto-proof supermajority in the N.C. House of Representatives.
