Where We Serve
When They See Us Vote -The Fight Ahead
Join us Monday, Feb. 1 for an urgent conversation about what lies ahead in the aftermath of the recent elections, insurrection at our Nation’s Capitol, the limits of Black representation, and the impulse to trust Black faces without interrogating ideology and policy. In a post-Obama culture where many politicians, celebrities, and other “community leaders” purport to represent the interests and well being of Black people, it’s imperative for us to move away from relying on figureheads and realize our collective power. This is the second installment in the When They See Us Vote conversation series with Bree Newsome Bass and Natalie Bullock Brown.
When They See Us Vote is a limited-series podcast that seeks to engage and educate listeners who are becoming politically conscious and active at this moment with an analysis of how we build resilience and Black political power at the voting booth and beyond.
Advance Carolina understands all elections are important. We encourage volunteers to pledge to vote in every election and stay connected to receive updates and alerts from Advance Carolina.
