Advance Carolina to Participate in Rally for Our Freedoms
Advance North Carolina will participate in Rally for Our Freedoms on Sunday, September 25, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Dowdy Park in Nags Head.
With the general election just around the corner on Tuesday, November 8, now, more than ever, is the time to speak out, turn out, and vote. This rally will focus on taking action to defend our freedoms and choices about our bodies, futures, children’s freedom to learn, freedom to love, and our freedom to cast our vote and have it count.
Featured speakers include Barbara Gaskins, Candidate for United States House of Representatives; Rachelle Salo, Senior Regional Organizer for North Carolina and South Carolina Indivisible Project; La’Meshia Whittington, Deputy Director for Advance Carolina; Jessica Fearns, Candidate for Dare County Board of Education; and Tom Fenninger, LGBTQIA+ representative, as well as other local community leaders, candidates, and elected officials.
Information on the upcoming General Election on Tuesday, November 8, early voting, and ways to get involved that will impact our community, the sponsoring organizations, and candidates.
Dowdy Park is located in the heart of Nags Head at 3005 South Croatan Highway, with plenty of free parking. Please bring lawn chairs or blankets for your comfort. Signs are encouraged. Pets are welcome.
Rally for Our Freedoms is hosted by the Dare County Democratic Party, Democratic Women of Dare, Dare County Progressive Caucus, Indivisible OBX, and Stronger NC OBX.
