The Future of OUR Democracy is Safer Under Harris

We boldly support Vice President Kamala Harris. As an organization committed to a free and fair democracy and the political power of Black communities to create that freedom, our interests never rest on political parties. Our freedom to build a hopeful future rests with us. The policies and hateful rhetoric of a vocal force on the right have changed the dynamics of prosperity and perverted our values. This is why we boldly support Vice President Kamala Harris as the best choice for president and the future of our democracy.

From governor to county commissioners, we have a chance to reset North Carolina for the people. In the coming days, we will release the slate of candidates we are supporting this cycle.

The opposition fought hard to ensure we would never see another Black president. But as we approach the last 100 days of this election cycle, we will work hard to inform and engage our communities about the promise and possibility of a future where we can all thrive.
Our politics have never been guided by their framework. We know how crucial our votes are to down-ballot races. We saw this play out in 2020 with Cheri Beasley’s campaign. Beasley narrowly missed securing her spot as chief justice on the North Carolina Supreme Court by a mere 401 votes out of the nearly 5.4 million cast. This razor-thin margin drastically altered the court’s composition and subsequently influenced numerous policy decisions and legislative outcomes in our state. From governor to county commissioners, we have a chance to reset North Carolina for the people. In the coming days, we will release the slate of candidates we are supporting this cycle.
